The idea for the Teesdale business awards came from digital media company Zine who have taken their idea and turned it into the event celebrated at by 140 Teesdale Businesses at the sell out event held Thursday 20th Oct at the Morritt Country House Hotel. The aim was to celebrate business in Teesdale, the young and aspiring, new and established, each of which together combine to create our vibrant and unique locale.
A well received presentation on the Teesdale Rope Bridge with a 3D fly-through of the proposed suspension bridge was also made by Teesdale Marketing seeking private sector support and investment in the project.
Charlotte Stow, Zine UK Marketing Director and organiser of the Awards event said, From the involvement of GSK, the volume of nominations received, the exceptionally high standard of every organisation judged and judging, and of course that the event was a sell-out, combined to make the inaugural Teesdale Business Awards everything we aspired to achieve.
